Chicken meat 350 g / 克 [cut into pieces]
Rice 1 cup / 杯 [soaked in water for 15 minutes]
Ginger (s) 4 slices [shredded]
Water 5 L / 升
Green onion(s) [diced, for topping]
XO Sauce 4 tbsp / 湯匙
Salt 1 tsp / 茶匙
Corn starch 1 tsp / 茶匙
Salt and Pepper to taste
- Mix chicken and ginger with marinade.
- Boil water. Add chicken, ginger and rice. Cook on low heat for 1 1/2 hours to make congee.
- Stir in seasoning mix. Sprinkle with diced green onion.
